23. BLIND SPOT

Blind Spot is a series that documents the effect of an individual on the broader landscape photograph. Shot using a timer, these self-portraits incorporate the figure into the surrounding environment and influence the mood of the location without having a solid notion of the direct impact on the composition.

22. SELINA PARR (LOOK BOOK)

Created in collaboration with Selina Parr and JOFF.

The collection references the transformation of 2D shapes (for instance, the garments when laid out of the ground) into 3D forms when worn on the body. The approach was to use shadow and multiple exposure to illustrate the two dimensional aspect of the form that exists in the three dimensional world.

Published in a special edition of Blend Magazine curated by Rankin, in partnership with Dazed and Confused. Created in collaboration with JOFF

Participants were asked to contribute images relating to the ideals of Beauty and Eros. The approach to this project was to make suggestive work that would allude to the idea of sexuality but never reveal it entirely. Creating a sensuality from the mystery of suggestion.

5. A.K.A

Published in a special edition of Blend Magazine. This project was created in partnership with the Stedilijk Museum, Amsterdam, for the exhibition; Andy Warhold - Other Voices, Other Rooms. Created in collaboration with JOFF.

Each participant was asked to create a work inspired by the films of Andy Warhol. The A.K.A series was created to reference the durational aspects of Warhol movies like Flesh, Blue Movie and Women In Revolt. In Warhol's films the moving image changes over time by its intense focus on a specific shot or moment; the things that are sexy become abstract and the abstractions become sexy.

The viewer slowly focuses and refocuses. It’s a strange and magical moment, one that was referenced in this series.
